Can I Come, Too?

Can I Come, Too?

My Dad and I went to a nice Golf Club in Auburn, Maine one gorgeous summer day to play a round. As we were getting our clubs out of the car and putting our shoes on, we noticed two men placing their expensive golf clubs into a late model Cadillac. Never having been there before we asked them if the course was open to the public.

They looked with disdain at my dad’s old, Robin Egg Blue Chevy Opal wagon, then with equal disdain they looked us up and down before they answered flatly “No, it’s not!”

It was obvious to the both of us that we did not measure up to their standards and were not welcomed. I told my dad they were snobs, that they were lying, and we should play anyway, but he said he didn’t want to play there if that’s the type of people who were members. So, we left.

How very different from the heavenly Father’s open invitation to salvation that “whosoever will, let him take of the water of life freely” (Rev. 22:17), and that “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Rom. 10:13).

Friend, the “whosoever” includes YOU! It doesn’t matter what you have done wrong or what you haven’t done that you should have done, God will forgive you and accept you if you believe in His Son, Jesus Christ!

Romans 10:9-10 explains what you must do: “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

Will you put your faith in Jesus Christ, right now? He is waiting with open arms. If you make that decision, will you email us at Paraclete Men’s Ministries and let us know? We will send you some free materials to help you in your new life. You can do that on this website.
