God Says You Will Be Rebuilt!

God asked the prophet, Ezekiel, in Ezekiel 37:3 “Son of man, can these bones
live?” God was faced with a nation that had been destroyed because of their sin.
He Himself had done it. But the One who made the universe out of nothing was
not discouraged! He had plans for Israel. God always has plans!
Friend, God has plans for you! Have you sinned? Have you failed to live up to
what you know and profess? Are you suffering the consequences of your sin?
Please don’t give up! Your sin and failure are not too much for God. Just like God
told Ezekiel in the rest of chapter 37 that He would raise up the nation of Israel
once again, God has plans to raise you up and place you in His service once again.
How do I know that? Because God is a God of restoration.
In Jeremiah 18 God tells Israel that He is the potter who can take a marred lump
of clay and make it into a new vessel. He will do the same for you!
Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD, “Plans
to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Remember, God told this to Israel while they were captive in a foreign country
due to their rebellion and sin. God’s discipline of His wayward child is always
restorative not merely punitive. “He does not delight in afflicting or grieving the
children of men” (Lamentations 33:3).
Jeremiah 31:3 promises us, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have
drawn you with unfailing kindness. I will build you up again, and you, Virgin Israel,
WILL BE REBUILT” [Emphasis mine].
Dear child of God, trust God! Though you cannot see it right now, know that He
loves you with an unfailing love. Remember, Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates
His own love for us in this, that when we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
When God saved you and forgave all your sins, He forgave them ALL! He forgave
the sins of your past and the sins you commit now. And remember, all your sins
were in the future when He died for you!
YOU ARE FORGIVEN! YOU ARE CHOSEN! YOU ARE LOVED!
