God Will Make a Way
(October 20, 2025)
Almighty God had freed His people, the Israelites, from slavery in Egypt when in a
few short days they found themselves trapped between the Red Sea and a hostile
Egyptian army in hot pursuit. There seemed to be no way out. Terrified, they
blamed Moses for their plight, but Moses said, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and
you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today.”
Then God did something that no one had ever seen before. He parted the waters
of the Red Sea, dried up the bottom and the Israelites crossed on dry ground. Not
only that but God removed forever the threat of the Egyptian army by drowning
every man in the waters of the Red Sea as they tried to pursue the Israelites into
the sea.
Are you feeling trapped in front of your own “Red Sea” experience? Is faith
replaced by fear and confidence supplanted by cowardice? Then hear what God is
saying to you.
“Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring
you today.”
You see, there is no panic in heaven…only plans. God knew before time began the
plight the people of Israel would face at the Red Sea, and He knew what He would
do. The same is true of you, dear believer, child of God.
My wife and our four small children were walking to church in Portland one
winter day after a big nor’easter and the snowbanks were well over my children’s
heads. When they became worried that they could not see where they were
going, I reassured them that I could see the way clearly and they were not to
worry. Get the idea? Friend, God can not only see the way, but He also makes a
way!
