Where Are You Leading Your Family Part 3

In this article we want to encourage you to do everything you can to secure your family’s eternal future and help them live a life of faithfulness to Christ. Your wife and children may or may not realize how important it is that they commit their lives to Jesus Christ, and you, as the leader of the family, can have a big impact on that decision.

The last two weeks we have been discussing the incident on October 2016 when Jim Marshall of the Minnesota Vikings ran a recovered fumble the wrong way to score a safety for the other team. We discovered that there are some lessons we can learn from Marshall’s mistake to help us, as godly men, to lead our families for Christ.

First, we learned that a man needs more than sincerely held beliefs to lead his family to Christ. He must be sure that he is on Christ’s team through humble repentance of sins and faith in His finished work on the cross.

Second, once we profess faith in Christ, in order to lead our families in the way of Christ we must heed God’s warnings. If we are involved in any sin that prevents us from living a holy life, we must turn away from it and obey God.

Finally, in this article we want to encourage you to do everything you can to secure your family’s eternal future and help them live a life of faithfulness to Christ. Your wife and children may or may not realize how important it is that they commit their lives to Jesus Christ, and you, as the leader of the family, can have a big impact on that decision.

Do not make the mistake of some, leaving your children to find their own way. If you do not influence your family for Christ, someone else WILL influence them away from Christ and into a godless life and eternity.

Your life will have a huge impact on your wife and children. We at Paraclete Men’s Ministries urge you to make sure that impact will be a godly one. No one is more important than you are, father, husband in the formation of your family’s values.

If you feel like I have felt at times that you’ve blown it and it is too late, may I encourage you that it is NEVER TOO LATE! Start now to seek Jesus with all your heart. You WILL find Him, because He’s standing at your heart’s door even now, knocking and asking permission to fill your life with His power to impact your family for Him. Don’t wait! Go to Him now!
