Ya Gotta Get Jesus Right!

Who do you believe Jesus Christ is? Before you answer, do you know what He
says about Himself? If you think Jesus is a just a good man, consider that He said,
“I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). In other words, “I am God.”
God Himself witnessed to this fact in Luke 3:21-22, “…and as He [Jesus] was
praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on Him in bodily form
like a dove. And a voice came from heaven; “You are my Son, whom I love; with
you I am well pleased.” To believe that Jesus Christ is only a good man is to call
Him, and His Father, a liar.
Jesus Christ also claimed to be the only way to the Father. In John 14:6 He says, “I
am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through
me.” Again, if you will not believe what Jesus said, you are calling Him a liar.
Here’s a point to think about. Jesus said that after being crucified and dead for
three days, He would rise from the dead by His own power. John 10:18 says, “No
one takes it [Jesus’ life] from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have
authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received
from my Father.”
NOW what do you believe about Jesus Christ? Friend, anyone who says the things
Jesus said, and claimed the things Jesus claimed is not just a good man. C. S. Lewis
said, “A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would
not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic – on a level with the
man who says he is a poached egg – or else He would be the Devil of Hell…either
this man was, and is, the Son of God; or else a madman or something worse.”
Will you take Jesus Christ at His word and believe He IS the Son of God, the
crucified and risen One, the Savior of the world, and submit to Him as YOUR Lord
and King? He wants to save you, but if you refuse, He WILL become your judge.
