Beware of Fearful Unbelief

Do you live your life in fear? Are you afraid to leave your house? Are you afraid to
get a job? Are you afraid to invest your money? Are you afraid to use the talents
God has given you? Are you afraid to try?
What I am about to say may seem harsh, but I say it having been where you are –
you may need to repent of your unbelief and laziness and get to work doing what
God has called you to do (Ephesians 2:10).
The way you are living may get you sympathy and a disability check, but it is
ruining your soul. Let me share with you Revelation 21:8, “He who overcomes
shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. But the
cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers,
idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and
brimstone, which is the second death.”
Did you see that? “The cowardly and unbelieving” is listed right in there with
sorcery, sexual immorality and a host of other evils. Friend, I must warn you that
the way you are living is leading to death – spiritual death. This is serious. It
doesn’t matter if you said a prayer, walked an aisle or was baptized, if you let your
present condition continue you are in direct disobedience to the God you say
saved you.
But there is GOOD NEWS! God loves you and will set you free from your fear,
laziness and unbelief if you confess your sin, in other words agree with God that
the way you are living is sinful, and turn to Jesus Christ for the courage, and
strength you need. He is waiting for you right now!
1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, He if faithful and just to forgive us our sins
and cleanse us from ALL [emphasis mine] unrighteousness.” God will forgive you
and there are people who can help you. Ask God to send you someone who
understands your situation and can help you overcome the excuses and get to
work being the person God made you to be.
There is plenty of hope! Don’t believe Satan’s lies. God will help you!
